Just Another Tuesday Night

The boys tagged along last night on a trip to Sprouts to help me pick out ingredients for a vegan mocha cheesecake. If our trip was any indication of how the cheesecake will turn out, I should just give up right now. Let’s just say the boys were extra “animated”; more so than usual.Both Jackson and Tucker thought the guy giving a thumbs up on the sign was the funniest thing they have ever seen and they shrieked with laughter. Literally, shrieked. At 7:30 pm when the only other shoppers were of the 60+ variety. The 60+ variety that was expecting a quiet shopping experience.
We came home with all the ingredients that we needed except for coffee extract, so the cheesecake will have to wait until I have that, but we did pick up some interesting fruit.

Jackson, who is always half a store ahead of me came running back at one point shouting, “Tucker! They have a bagina plant!”

Turns out, it was a Kiwano fruit but, whatever. He got some looks.One of my friends got matching “Sole Sister” tags for our running shoes and after not being able to fit my shoe laces through the holes, I finally figured out how to attach it.
  Tuesday was an easy 30 minute run which was an unexpected surprise. I’m following a training plan provided by Garmin so the plan is uploaded to my watch and I usually forget to check it until I’m on my way out the door to run. So far, Tuesday has been an interval or tempo run day sandwiched between two easy run days.

Monday was a tempo run which should have been an indication that Tuesday would be different but I’m not always the first to catch on to those things! Here’s what I did Monday: 15 minutes easy (11:37 – this included stopping for Ruger to poop), 15 minutes tempo (8:19) and 15 minutes easy (8:51)

This stuff is turning into my best friend! I think that I’ve been gaining weight because I am having some serious issues with arms and back fat chafing on my long runs and even some on my shorter hard runs. Go out and get yourself some, if you run! I used to only have issues during marathons, but the chafing has now leached over into my everyday running and it is not cool!
