It was so nice yesterday that the boys and I were able to go for a walk down to the dam. Before we had children I used to run down to the dam with the dogs, stop to let them play in the water, and then run back in a total of +/- 20 minutes. This time it was closer to 2 1/2 hours. Oh well, it was nice to finally get out of the house. As you can see from the picture the boys were a little disoriented after being held in the house for months on end. I think the sun was a little too bright for them. It was a little too bright for me too, but my sunglasses took care of that. They also gave me a nice white band across my eyes. Jackson collected rocks along the way to throw off the bridge. He was so busy looking at his collection of rocks that he didn’t notice the vicious dogs approaching.
Wait, it was just Stinker and Sally Maxworth (a.k.a. Pike and Sally). They were happy that we were out of the house too. If you squint you might be able to see our mailbox at the top of the hill in the background. By this time, I think we had already been walking for a good half hour.
Here’s another picture of the dogs just because the poor things never get any recognition.

It looks like Pike is being hurt, but he actually seems to enjoy being run over by Sally.
It’s finally beginning to feel like spring. I hope it sticks around! Being able to get my rambunctious boys outside will be wonderful! It will also be a good way to avoid any shred of responsibility because there’s no way I can vacuum or clean bathrooms while I’m outside. It will also be easier to avoid working on my finals. Right now the only thing I can do to avoid schoolwork is blogging and reading other blogs. Can you tell that I have finals this week?
