Just What I Needed and a Birthday

Ruger forced me out the door on Saturday and it turned out to be just what I needed. We didn’t go far, but we both felt good and ended at 2 miles with a 7:58 average.

As juvenile as it may sound, a comfortable (barely) sub 8:00 pace helped to find my lost motivation.

In other news, Tucker turned 8 (!) last Wednesday. It honestly seems as though he was born yesterday. How can he be this old? He’s been saving money for more Nerf guns and has been watching the mailbox like a hawk all week hoping for a card. The screaming between both boys is deafening every time they open a card and see money.

I was super disorganized about planning a birthday party this year but I did get my act together enough to invite our neighbors to a nerf war. Seth’s parents brought the boys’ cousins and the kids got to run wild for over an hour.

After nerf wars we went out for dessert and mom of the year forgot a candle. Tucker didn’t seem to mind though and the scoop of chocolate covered ice cream on top made up by a long shot.

Happy Birthday, Peemie!

In Search Of….

Some motivation! Have any to spare?

I seem to have lost my motivation to run further than 2-3 miles and have zero interest in finishing or starting any home improvement projects. Laying on the couch after work and eating snacks just sounds so appealing.

Ruger most definitely does not appreciate the lack of running.

 He’s getting a little antsy.

When you send me motivation, could you also send me a running schedule? I just need something specific to keep me accountable. Thanks.
