Last Sunday, before our family bike ride, Seth and I thought we would be cool parents and bring the boys through the Taco John’s drive-thru for breakfast burritos. Jackson’s face should be evidence enough that he was not happy with our decision.
In his defense, he was having a bad sock day and I think we all know what that means: It means that I ate his burrito for him. Waste not, want not!
While Seth and I were unloading bikes at the trailhead, Tucker decided that he needed to use the great outdoors as his restroom…..facing a busy road. We pretended that we didn’t know him.
We finally got going and made our way across the bridge at the slowest pace possible.
Tucker’s face at about mile 2.7……we were already on our way back because the boys thought that they had put in enough effort for the day.
Talk about boring biking partners.
Hopefully, we can build their distance up by summertime!
And, we all celebrated NeNe’s 60th birthday on Wednesday night. These boys were happy to help her with the dessert!
I made it back from Canada just in time to meet everyone for dinner. Seth’s birthday is the day before his mom’s. For some reason, I messed up on the date of his birthday this year and thought his birthday would fall on a Monday, so we planned the work trip around it. When I reassured Seth that I would be home for his birthday on the 26th he gave me a strange look and asked how long we had been married……nearly 12 years. Yes, his birthday is on the 27th and I left at 5:00 that morning. Best wife ever. Ooops!
