Here’s Pike.
Sweet, little Pike who we’ve had since he was tiny enough to fit in my sweatshirt pocket.

Pike was able to get the hooks out of his mouth on his own, but ripped out half of the underside of his tongue as a result. If you look closely, there is a main artery under his tongue that he came close to snagging as well.
From the blood splattered all over our balcony and door frame, you would think that he did snag an artery.

For 200 bucks you would think that he could at least get a new iv bag!
Anyway, he’s doing fine and the bandages will come off in 2-3 days, but I have a feeling he’ll avoid fishing with Seth for a while.
