March has been a busy month so far and its not over yet!
Leah’s birthday was on the 5th, so Papa and NeNe drove down and we all brought the kids to the Denver Aquarium.

Jackson was obsessed with this part of the aquarium. I think Uncle Tim liked it just as much. At one point, Jackson tried to kiss a fish through the bubble. Barf! I can only imagine all of the germs crawling on that thing!
B was happy to see her favorite uncle “Sessy”.
Tucker was amazed by the sharks.
Jackson was just confused.
Papa and NeNe brought the boys home so Seth and I could stay in Denver to celebrate our (8th!) anniversary a little early. It was amazing to have a conversation without a million interruptions consisting of, “Mama! Mama! Mama!”
The next day was Jackson’s 5th birthday, so we invited his cousins and the neighbor kids over for a party. I made a pathetic attempt at a machine gun cake with a scope. It turned out a little funny looking, but at least Jackson was able to tell what it was!
Of course, he also received several toy guns as presents.
Our neighbor girls commandeered a couch when they got tired of shooting the boys.
Little E.
Dallas and Nancy are teaching an A.I school in the southern part of the state for the second week in a row, so I’m missing her happy little face!
Jackson with Papa and NeNe.
He was very excited about the Toy Story Wii game they gave him!
Last Sunday, we brought the boys for a bike ride.

I thought we should have brought Jackson’s other bike, as this one is getting too small for him, but I was glad that Seth didn’t listened to me when we had to load it into the “rickshaw” so that he could ride with Tucker.

We stopped for a little hike by the river,
and a picture, of course.
I also made the Pioneer Woman’s Cinnamon Rolls last weekend. They are pretty delicious, but still not even close to the deliciousness of my Grandma’s Caramel Rolls which I made yesterday.
Tucker was happy to help roll out the dough, but he lost interest after that and wandered outside to play with Jackson. Strange, when I was a kid, the best part was putting the butter and sugar on the dough…
I also made a plain loaf of bread because I live for fresh bread straight from the toaster slathered in butter. I rolled out the third portion and sprinkled it with cheese and chopped jalapenos before rolling it up. It raised up nicely, but it was a weird shape because I wasn’t very careful.
While I was doing that, Seth came home from work and went straight out back to put together two square foot gardens for me!

And, finally, here’s a look at our living room right before I painted it in the beginning of March. It was boring white, except for the spots covered in crayon and dirty finger prints.

Notice the stylish front door. Oh yeah, that baby’s on it’s way out as soon as possible! I have a new one picked out, but I think we’re going to put up some new fence panels first. The back section is a wood fence, but the sides are chain link. It just isn’t “us”. The fan however, is long gone! It worked great, but it was so huge and ugly and I always worried that Jackson would try to jump up and grab it from the back of the couch. That’s just something he would do.
The finished look.
Seth installed a new light in the dining area and put the old one where the fan used to be until we can decide on a bigger one.
I painted the ceiling the same color as the walls. Its hard to tell in the picture, but the sculpting stands out more than when it was painted white. The molding also looks better now that it’s a different color than the rest of the room.
So there you have it. I also painted the boy’s bedroom, but forgot to take pictures. Oh well, at least that’s two rooms that are not covered in crayon any more.
